Established in 2004 by Louise Clements and Mike Brown, the biennale festival celebrates the wealth of contemporary practice in international photography and is now one of the UK’s leading non-profit international contemporary festivals of photography and related media.

​

They required a catalogue for the 2013 festival with the theme of Factory.

​

We came up with the idea of halting the production line mid-process, providing the viewer with an unfinished publication. The viewer would be required to engage with with the publication by tearing open the folded pre-cut printed pages with the tool provided in order to see the pages, thus becoming an active part of the production themselves.
